Notes
Notes:
1) From middle of Looks Like Rain through Middle of Music Never stopped the left channel
has a slightly muted sound. It is as if thwe left microphone was slightly obstructed.
Pan was used to reduce this but it is still apparent.
2) The end of Drums into the beginning of Space is patched with ShnId: 7539

I just listened to the second set, and it is fantastic. The recording and performance.
Definitely a case of Jerry being totally amazing for much of the ... set. This is among the best Scarlet>Fires ever because Garcia simply rips it from start to end, and just plays insanely loud, rude and ass-kicking guitar..and keeps it short and to the point (which is rare). Also, check out his dissonant playing in the Stranger jam, it is pretty unique, never heard one like it. Black Peter is perfect, end of set tunes also pretty perfect. Brokedown also close to perfect.

Do not listen to this show at work . . . spinning through the hallways and smiling ear-to-ear might just get you into as much trouble as me! Peace Up.

Excellent early 80's show, as is evidenced by the great setlist.

Subject: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
Subject: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
This was a really nice Mother's Day show. the 1st set is very nicely played with good versions of Cassidy, Loser, BRRB an all timer with All Over Now
...
and culminating with a very nice Music Never Stopped.
Set 2 just took off. The Scarlet/Fire, while short is excellent.
The transition between Stranger and Terrapin is flawless and unique... It's the only time I have heard where they don't end Stranger with the 3-beat rhythm, rather they just ease effortlessly into Terrapin , which ends in a raw and powerful jam. The Playing in the band is one of those early Brent gems that just flows for about 15 min.. After drums The space is excellent followed Black Peter> a truly great GDTRFB>Round & Round>JBG, fairly standard song list, but excellently played..
This seems to be the best source, I like it better than the board because the sound is a little fuller, you get a real feel for what the show actually sounded like.
